Brow Lift Procedure
What Is A Brow Lift?
A brow lift, also known as a forehead lift, improves wrinkle lines, raises sagging eyebrows, and reduces upper eyelid hooding, resulting in a more youthful and refreshed appearance. After a brow lift, clients appear well rested, more pleasant in affect, and self-confidence is gracefully restored.
Traditionally the forehead lift was performed through an incision across the forehead. Dr. Samimi uses the endoscopic brow lift, a new minimally invasive technique which results in fewer scars and faster recovery. The brows are elevated and the forehead muscles weakened to smoothed the forehead lines and remove the extra skin of the upper eyelids.
Three small incisions are made in the forehead. These are typically hidden within the hair. A small endoscope, which is a telescope attached to a camera is inserted through these incisions. The brows elevated and a small dissolvable anchor is used underneath the skin to secure the brow in its new position. Although the anchors typically dissolve within six months, the brow remains elevated as it heals into its new position. The muscles of the forehead which create the deep lines are weakened.
Before & After
Although Botox and Soft Tissue Fillers can correct these to a certain degree, a forehead lift or brow lift may create a more noticeable and longer lasting correction. Frequently an eyelid lift (blepharoplasty) is performed at the same time to remove fat and skin of the eyelids and improve the result further.
The endoscopic brow lift is well suited for younger women or men who are not candidates for a facelift as well as patients undergoing a facelift.
